Modeling complex systems in life sciences
Blessing Emerenini (Rochester Institute of Technology), Lucia Carichino (Rochester Institute of Technology) and Ephraim Agyingi (Rochester Institute of Technology)
Life complexity ranges from structure to functions in organisms from microscopic to macroscopic forms. Modeling complex life systems will help gain valuable insights into life development, interaction between living organisms, and several other factors essential to life processes. The focus of this special session is to bring together experts in using a wide range of modeling approaches, like theoretical analysis, scientific computing and data analysis, in understanding the formation, development, interactions and diversities essential in the life sciences at all levels of existence, and the underlying mechanisms and dynamics that lead to disease development and progression.
