Probability and Statistics in Neuroscience
Paul Marriott, Yi Shen, Weinan Qi, Billy Marshall, Reza Ramezan, and Peijun Sang (University of Waterloo)
This session looks at a range of applications of statistical and probability modelling in neuroscience. This is rapidly developing area which includes a wide range of models and new challenges. The new types of data inthis area can be very discrete, for example multivariate spike trains, continuous in time such as EEG, or continuous in time and space such as FMRI. The session will consider the full range of methods and will be aimed at the general mathematic audience.
