Environmental Modelling and Analysis

Steven Roberts (Wilfrid Laurier University), Colin Robertson (Wilfrid Laurier University),

In this mini symposium we bring together researchers working in environmental fields that rely on extensive use or development of new geocomputational / environmental modelling tools. More specifically, we explore four areas where computational solutions are applied to environmental problems in the following sessions:

  1. Big Data and Water in Northern Communities – sensors, citizens, and sciences (Chair: Colin Robertson, WLU)
  2. Remote Sensing - developments in sensor technology (Chair: TBD),
  3. Spatial Analysis - new tools and revisiting spatial representations (Chair: Steve Roberts, WLU),
  4. Spatial Decision Support Systems – from development to implementation (Chair: TBD).
