Advanced Numerical Methods for PDEs and Applications

Dong Liang (York University), Paul Muir (Saint Mary's University)

This special session will bring together researchers who will share recent advances in and research prospects for the numerical solution of partial differential equations (PDEs) and the treatment of PDE-applications in science and engineering, for example, electromagnetics, environmental modelling, climate modelling, finance, wave propagation in materials, imaging processing, engineering computation, etc. This session will also serve as a forum to foster the interdisciplinary culture required to meet new challenges in scientific computing and to promote research exchanges and collaborations in these areas.
