Richard Magin (University of Illinois at Chicago),
Enrico Scalas (University of Sussex)
In recent years, the use of Fractional Calculus and related pseudo-differential operators in different fields of science and engineering has gained more and more momentum. Applications of Fractional Calculus can be found in Physics, Biology and Bioengineering, Geophysics, Electric and Electronic Engineering to mention a few fields. The purpose of this special session is to present examples of these applications as well as related theoretical developments from the points of view of analysis, probability theory and numerical analysis.
