Minisymposium (ID: SS-CSB)
Computations in Systems Biology
Organizers: Hin Hark Gan (NYU) and Gaurav Arya (UCSD)
Systems biology is the study of complex interactions within cells and how such
interactions lead to emergent biological phenomena. This session explores recent progress in the development
and application of computational methods towards the understanding of cellular processes and phenomena such as transcriptional and translational regulation, epigenetics, cell signaling, and diseases. The focus will be on assessing the efficacy of biophysical,
bioinformatics and mathematical approaches for understanding current experimental data.
