Spatial data and modelling including the Canadian North

Steven Roberts (Wilfrid Laurier University)

In this session we bring together researchers whose work in Geography and Environmental Studies relies on the extensive use or development of new geocomputational tools. We will present papers using these methodologies in the critical setting of the Canadian North, a key bellwether for climate change. We also plan to have presentations on distributed, peer-to-peer, spatial databases and theory and applications from researchers driving in part the emerging technologies of Digital Global Grid Systems. Additional presentations on related topics will fill out the session.
