Minisymposium (ID: SS-MACMQ)

Mathematical Aspects of Condensed Matter and Quantum Theory

Jonas Fransson (Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University), Artur Sowa (Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Saskatchewan) and Tim Trudgian (School of Science, UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defense Force Academy)

The session aims to bring together researchers interested in exploring innovative approaches to quantum theory and condensed matter physics, and to furnish a forum for sharing new insights and, indeed, new questions. The goal is to cover a broad spectrum of topics, from quintessentially applicable to essentially mathematical. On the applicable side, particularly encouraged are contributions centered on the many-body physics of fermions, qubits, and bosons, including explorations into the coherent states. On the mathematical side, especially welcome are contributions focusing on analytic number theory, harmonic analysis, complex analysis, operator theory, as well as quantum field theory. Contributions exploring various adjacent themes will also be considered. During the session, we welcome openminded and critical discussions, encouraging inquisitive contributions.
